The White Oak Elementary School Pre-Kindergarten Program is designed to provide high quality educational experiences to enhance school readiness for eligible four year old children. By September 2018, 50% of entering Kindergarten children will demonstrate school readiness as measured by the North Carolina K3 Assessment. Project: the funds from the grant would be used to purchase a partial list of the required furnishings as mandated by the NC Pre-K Program Guidelines for the additional Pre-Kindergarten classroom that would target middleclass poverty families in a rural, low wealth district in northeastern North Carolina.
